Brakes
The long history of the CB450, CL450 Scrambler & CB500T family of motorcycles use two different braking set ups. The early CB450 K0-K1 utilizes a use a mechanical drum brake, while the later K2-K7 and the CB500T use a hydraulic front disc. The CL450 use a mechanical drum brake as well and the rear brake on all models is a drum. The CB450 disc brakes are notoriously found stuck from corrosion; a proper system overhaul involves a rebuilding the master cylinder, caliper, new brake pads and brake hoses.
