Honda CB450 Long Haul Part 6

In part 6 of our Long Haul project 1974 Honda CB450 K7 we install new mufflers, reinstall the fuel system (carburetors, intake manifolds, tank, petcock, tank, fuel lines, intake manifolds and air filters) and fire up the bike!

Once running around the neighborhood, we install a custom front headlight bracket to accommodate our tool bag as well as a rear sissy bar to mount our luggage to for the long haul.

Finally we take the bike on a 500 mile shake down ride to the Texas hill country to figure out any issues before we hit the road to Mid Ohio.

Upon the return to the shop a sprocket change is made along a quick review of the tools and supplies we are taking on the road to keep the bike going for the long haul!

This vintage Honda is being prepped for a 1,500 plus mile trip from Houston, TX to Lexington, OH to visit the 2018 AMA Vintage Days then onward to Minnesota and then back to Texas.
