Looking for some help figuring out a no spark issue.

Hi Hi, 

I hope everyone is doing well :) I've had a hard time figuring out why I have no spark- hoping someone can help.

The bike is a Honda CL175 /K6 and I bought it about a year ago as a barn find. I enjoyed fixing it up over the past year and it's been up and running until the last few weeks. I've tried holding the spark plug against the frame while kicking it over (and the other plug is grounded-no spark) and testing it with a voltmeter (no power). I recently put in a common motor regulator rectifier and that's working great. I tested it before installing the common motor shockwave kit. I had this no spark issue happen when I still had points/ a condenser, for reference. Both boots and wires to the coil also have no power. The coil is getting the correct voltage. Everything else in the bike has the correct voltage- I followed the wiring harness and checked against ground to be sure. My confusion is that the coil is brand new. What am I missing? Please educate me haha.

  Silly question but I have done this myself. Check the kill switch isn't off! I spent 2 hours investigating no spark and the kill switch was just nudged into the kill position.
