SL/CL exhaust switcheroo

Hi, I am wondering if anyone has tried changing the pipes from a SL350K1 to the cool looking twin side pipes of an CL350? The issue being, Im guessing the headers will hit the frame, or can they be modified easily to avoid the double tube frame of the SL?

PS: Just found Common Motor site and think its realy great and appreaciate the team sharing their knowledge and experience.

  Yes, I did it.  The CB and CL exhaust pipes can be switched, with some caveats.  The CL left side cover has a dent on it to provide space for the exhaust pipe.  The CB left cover does not fit with the CL pipes. You can leave the left side cover off and it will clear the frame.   Also, there is a hanger bracket that attaches to the frame between the left shock absorber top mount and the left rear turn signal.  That bracket can easily be fabricated from a strip of metal with a slight Z bend.  I will try to provide some pictures.
