Fuel additives?

Recently refreshed, not rebuilt '74 CL360. Started riding it again regularly. Runs well, idle seems confused sometimes. A throttle blip seems to help that. Runs up revs smoothly, but breaks up around 4500-5000 rpm. Before digging in to parts and other remedies, are the any fuel additives to try first? Thanks in advance.
