Swapping the cam chain or cam chain tensioner components can be one of the more intimidating jobs that may need to happen on your vintage Honda motorcycle. While it is important to approach a job inside the engine with care, try not to build it up to something that keeps you from tackling it. Just like every other job on your motorcycle, the engine is just nuts and bolts. If you pay attention to the details and follow good instructions then you will be done in no time, gaining knowledge and a better motorcycle in the process. Putting off a worn cam chain or cam chain tensioner can cause excess wear and even catastrophic damage if it is bad enough.
